Create A Hero

Back again for this year’s show is the Create-A-Hero contest for kids ages 12 and under.

G.I. Joe artist and guest of the show, Robert Atkins, is allowing us to use these basic character templates he made so the kids can draw in their own costumes. Then the kids just need to give the hero (or villain) powers, an origin, and a really cool name!

Bring the hero to the show and our guest judges Fabian Nicieza and Phil Jimenez will pick their favorites and those lucky kids will get their characters drawn by artists at the show!

Every child who enters will receive a free comic.

Below are templates you can print out if you wish, or if the child wants to draw it on their own that’s fine too. :) We’ve also included a Blank template just in case.

The numbers of winners will depend on the number of artists willing to donate a sketch. Last year there were 5 winners.
Parents please include an e-mail address or other method of contacting you. Sometimes the artist can’t get the sketch done before the show ends. If that happens we want to be able to let you know when it’s done so you can pick it up at NewCastle Comics & Games or provide us with your address so we can mail it to you.
